Too funny not to share

We were in Target shopping for a movie, when Jared and I were talking about what was the next movie we were expecting from Netflix. Cara joined in the coversation asking for a kid movie. I told her it was Mom and Dad's turn for a movie because the last movie that came from Netflix was a kid movie. Cara's response to that was, "But Mom, that movie was only Blue-ray-high def!"

Another joy of little kids is not only what they say, but what they do. Cara and Logan litterally argue over who is going to say the family prayer. Logan has figured out an upper hand on it though. Without fail, as soon as we all are on our knees for prayer, he immediatly starts praying. No one can argue with someone who is praying. Cara is silently upset for the whole prayer, and as soon as "amen" is said she voices her opinion. Needless to say we pray twice each time, twice a day. Lots of praying going on in our family!:) (I will enjoy it while I have it, because give them five years and it will be a different story!)

Scottie is our little dare devil. I am amazed he survives all his feats. Last week we went to the park. The kids rode their bikes and Scottie rode his big wheel. While we were at the park, I was visiting with a friend and looked over to see how the kids were just in time to see Scottie riding his big wheel down the slide! The ride was fast and furious, but the landing not so great, head first over the steering wheel. He recovered realitively well and went on his way. Another time Scottie and I left to go to the grocery store. I open the garage door and open the car door for Scottie to get in, but he is not there, I look over to the garage door and there he is holding on to the bottom of the garage door, riding it the whole way up! I had to reach up to catch him. His response, "De fun!"

Happy Anniversary!

So today is our 9th Anniversary and what a suprise we woke up to! In came Cara, Logan, and Scottie yelling, "Happy Anniversary!" They were carrying two plates of food, a mug of water, and a mug of milk. They knew Daddy doesn't like milk. As thoughtful as this was, it was not quite edible. The sausage was partially frozen and still quite raw. Cara had found a carton of Cool Whip in the back of my fridge that I had been meaning to throw away for the longest time. She was careful enough to scoop the whip cream around the mold spot. She even managed to cut the apples with no blood loss. Luckily I have had the stomach flu for the last couple days, so I blamed my inability to eat the lovely breakfast on a queasy stomach. Jared had no excuse, being a good sport, ate the half-frozen Eggo waffles. We really are loved by our little ones. And do we ever love them!

Good things on T.V.

Good things on T.V. are few and far between, but I have a favorite show that really brings out the best in me. I love Super Nanny. I am nowhere near as extreme as the examples that they have on the show, but I can see a little bit of me in every mom. I love taking the new ideas and imparting into my life. I have to say being a mom is hard! I so appreciate any ideas that make it easier and my home more happy. This is a show that truly is worth watching. So moms, if you haven't seen it, take some time for yourself and check it out!
