We were in Target shopping for a movie, when Jared and I were talking about what was the next movie we were expecting from Netflix. Cara joined in the coversation asking for a kid movie. I told her it was Mom and Dad's turn for a movie because the last movie that came from Netflix was a kid movie. Cara's response to that was, "But Mom, that movie was only Blue-ray-high def!"
Another joy of little kids is not only what they say, but what they do. Cara and Logan litterally argue over who is going to say the family prayer. Logan has figured out an upper hand on it though. Without fail, as soon as we all are on our knees for prayer, he immediatly starts praying. No one can argue with someone who is praying. Cara is silently upset for the whole prayer, and as soon as "amen" is said she voices her opinion. Needless to say we pray twice each time, twice a day. Lots of praying going on in our family!:) (I will enjoy it while I have it, because give them five years and it will be a different story!)
Scottie is our little dare devil. I am amazed he survives all his feats. Last week we went to the park. The kids rode their bikes and Scottie rode his big wheel. While we were at the park, I was visiting with a friend and looked over to see how the kids were just in time to see Scottie riding his big wheel down the slide! The ride was fast and furious, but the landing not so great, head first over the steering wheel. He recovered realitively well and went on his way. Another time Scottie and I left to go to the grocery store. I open the garage door and open the car door for Scottie to get in, but he is not there, I look over to the garage door and there he is holding on to the bottom of the garage door, riding it the whole way up! I had to reach up to catch him. His response, "De fun!"

Kids do say funny things. I can't believe little Scottie is so brave. You will need to go to a theme park sometime. He would probably love it!
I love stories like that.
So I talked to Robyn and she said they are thinking about doing the reunion the end of July in Jackson Hole, WY. What do you think?
I love your stories! Kids make the greatest stories!!! I can't believe Scottie rode the garage door to the top!!! HA HA And I love that he rode his bike down the slide! He sounds like Hayden!!! Good luck with him!

Hi Candi, this is Allison (my maiden name is Lawlor, and I'm one of Jared's cousins), I've had fun checking out your blog once in awhile, hope you don't mind :) I was reading this post and had to share a story about Kristy (Cahoon)'s kids, they also used to argue about who's turn it was for prayer. Once when I was at their house for dinner, their oldest, Tyson, started saying the blessing immediately to avoid the argument. During the prayer, their daughter Amber voiced her objection, and then Tyson continued his prayer by saying "And Amber repents for talking during prayer!" It was one of those times where you have to hold your mouth closed to not laugh out loud during a prayer! Kids are hilarious!
Great stories! Scottie sounds like a hoot...I love that about him riding the garage door! (Keeps you on your toes!)
